cake or death?

Thursday is such an awkward day, its almost friday but its not quite there yet. Today was a happy, gooey day which you need once in a while* these are the beautiful pictures that I found today and just looked so perfect that I had to put them up here

[the buttercream layer cake looks super amazing]

"Cake or death?" That's a pretty easy question. Anyone could answer that.
"Cake or death?"
"Eh, cake please."
"Very well! Give him cake!"
"Oh, thanks very much. It's very nice."
"You! Cake or death?"
Uh, cake for me, too, please."
"Very well! Give him cake, too! We're gonna run out of cake at this rate.

You! Cake or death?" "Uh, death, please. No, cake! Cake! Cake, sorry. Sorry..."
"You said death first, uh-uh, death first!"
"Well, I meant cake!"
"Oh, all right. You're lucky I'm Church of England!" Cake or death?"

I hope you have a lovely rest of the day*

Make sure you look before you cross the road, right T?

greenmilk

You know that one thing you do/drink/eat/watch when you're feeling a bit out of it? Well mine is greenmilk. Nestle make this cream soda flavoured milk and i know that must sound gross but I love it. When I was little it only took greenmilk and my blankie for me to fall asleep and so I guess thats why I keep going back to it when I feel bleh. It reminds me of a happy place.

Im off to drink my greenmilk* night all

fun fact about me #4: i love sweets, candies whatever. They are so beautiful to look at and amazing to eat. why do adults never eat sweets? I could never give them up

mood: happy- my music is making me want to slow dance around the room
listening to: Why don't you do right? by Alan Silvestri
thinking about: food

the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken." -James Dent

electric summers

fun fact about me #3: ilove summers in johannesburg* let me explain why. The summers in joburg are hot and in the middle of the day there are thunderstorms. Ilove thunderstorms- theyre so electric and beautiful. I used to live for those summers. Today is like that, hot and rainy. lovely.

the weather reminds me of this poem i did in highschool:

Mrs Tilscher's class- Carol Ann Duffy
You could travel up the Blue Nile
with your finger, tracing the route
while Mrs Tilscher chanted the scenery.
Tana. Ethiopia. Khartoum. Aswan.
That for an hour, then a skittle of milk
and the chalky Pyramids rubbed into dust.
A window opened with a long pole.
The laugh of a bell swung by a running child.

This was better than home. Enthralling books.
The classroom glowed like a sweetshop.
Sugar paper. Coloured shapes
. Brady and Hindley
faded, like the faint, uneasy smudge of a mistake.
Mrs Tilscher loved you. Some mornings, you found
she'd left a gold star by your name.
The scent of a pencil slowly, carefully, shaved.
A xylophone's nonsense heard from another form.

Over the Easter term the inky tadpoles changed
from commas into exclamation marks. Three frogs
hopped in the playground, freed by a dunce,
followed by a line of kids, jumping and croaking
away from the lunch queue. A rough boy
told you how you were born. You kicked him, but stared at your parents,
appalled, when you got back home.

That feverish July, the air tasted of electricity.
A tangible alarm made you always untidy, hot,
fractious under the heavy, sexy sky. You asked her
how you were born and Mrs Tilscher smiled,
then turned away. Reports were handed out.
You ran through the gates, impatient to be grown,
as the sky split open into a thunderstorm.

I put some new shoes on, and suddenly everything's alright

fun fact about me #2: ilove oxford. [and that pretty much says it all]

"But a girl of seventeen is not always thinking of books, especially in the Oxford summer term." -Mary A. Ward

"The clever men at Oxford, know all that there is to be knowed. But they none of them know one half as much, as intelligent Mr. Toad." -Kenneth Graham

facehunting

fun fact about me #1: ilove eating salticrax with bovril. Im eating them right now, although I may have overdone it on the bovril. Today is my colleges' 21st birthday party so I was up early [for holidays] helping set things out for the 'do' tonight. Im not too sure if im going though- id like to go and take pictures*

The reason for this post is that I obsessively collect facehunter pictures. It makes me happy to think that there are such beautiful people living across the world. But now I have wayyyy too many pictures so Im posting them :)

[how cute is this lady]

[ah! what shoes. what amazing shoes]
