102

so i found this on the blog, just the right shade of pink, and i thought it was lovely so i tag you, if you want to be tagged, to do this too :)
If I were a month, I’d be may (autumn)
If I were a day of the week, I’d be a sunday
If I were a time of day, I’d be dusk, magical
If I were a planet, I’d be saturn
If I were a sea animal, I’d be a seahorse
If I were a direction, I’d be north-east and on until the sun rises
If I were a piece of furniture, I'd be wrought iron bed
If I were a historical figure, I’d be a suffragette
If I were a liquid, I’d be tea :)
If I were a gemstone, I’d be a ruby
If I were a tree, I’d be an oak
If I were a tool, I’d be a paintbrush
If I were a flower, I’d be a yellow rose
If I were a kind of weather, I’d be a sunny spring day with a small breeze
If I were a musical instrument, I’d be a flute
If I were a color, I’d be lemon yellow
If I were an emotion, I’d be contentment
If I were a fruit, I’d be a strawberry
If I were a sound, I’d be wooden wind chimes
If I were an element, I’d be earth
If I were a car, I’d be a vintage mercedes benz
If I were a food, I’d be a custard slice
If I were a place, I’d be the english countryside (when its not raining)
If I were a material, I’d be cotton
If I were a taste, I’d be a ginger buiscuit
If I were a scent, I’d be vanilla
If I were an object, I’d be a ring , something small but something important
If I were a body part, I’d be lips
If I were a facial expression, I'd be confused, most of the time
If I were a song, I’d be life in technicolour, coldplay
If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be ballet flats

thursday

The Lord is my shepherd; i have all that i need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along the right paths, bringing honour to his name.
Even when i walk the through the darkest valley,
i will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.

a pretty day

a pretty a day by E. E. Cummings
a pretty a day
(and every fades)
is here and away
(but born are maids
to flower an hour
in all,all)

o yes to flower
until so blithe
a doer a wooer
some limber and lithe
some very fine mower
a tall;tall

some jerry so very
(and nellie and fan)
some handsomest harry
(and sally and nan
they tremble and cower
so pale:pale)

for betty was born
to never say nay
but lucy could learn
and lily could pray
and fewer were shyer
than doll. doll

a rainy day

today it is raining. what does rain make me feel like eating? chocolate. yes children today is a chocolate day :)

and what goes better with chocolate than... a rainy day song?
so this is the song that comes to mind every time it rains:
It's raining, it's pouring;
The old man is snoring.
Bumped his head
And he went to bed
And he couldn't get up in the morning.

thats all for now. i have to go and enjoy the rain.

an obligation

argh* this man. made.my.day

dear ben

To his Coy Mistress
by Andrew Marvell

Had we but world enough, and time,
This coyness, lady, were no crime.
We would sit down and think which way
To walk, and pass our long love's day;
Thou by the Indian Ganges' side
Shouldst rubies find; I by the tide
Of Humber would complain. I would
Love you ten years before the Flood;
And you should, if you please, refuse
Till the conversion of the Jews.
My vegetable love should grow
Vaster than empires, and more slow.
An hundred years should go to praise
Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze;
Two hundred to adore each breast,
But thirty thousand to the rest;
An age at least to every part,
And the last age should show your heart.
For, lady, you deserve this state,
Nor would I love at lower rate.

But at my back I always hear
Time's winged chariot hurrying near;
And yonder all before us lie
Deserts of vast eternity.
Thy beauty shall no more be found,
Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound
My echoing song; then worms shall try
That long preserv'd virginity,
And your quaint honour turn to dust,
And into ashes all my lust.
The grave's a fine and private place,
But none I think do there embrace.

Now therefore, while the youthful hue
Sits on thy skin like morning dew,
And while thy willing soul transpires
At every pore with instant fires,
Now let us sport us while we may;
And now, like am'rous birds of prey,
Rather at once our time devour,
Than languish in his slow-chapp'd power.
Let us roll all our strength, and all
Our sweetness, up into one ball;
And tear our pleasures with rough strife
Thorough the iron gates of life.
Thus, though we cannot make our sun
Stand still, yet we will make him run.

ta dah! ben this is your post :)
and not in any weird way either. this was just the first poem we talked about*
have a good day mr
