cupcakes for peter

[happy tuesday] the best thing about public holidays is that they make the rest of the week go so much faster. [and i just want to get to saturday morning]

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4 13-18

weekend stories

in the past2 days i have eaten almost an entire tub of sorbet.[and a few more cups. justbecause i can. although i could see my sorbet addiction becoming harmful. potentially] yesterday we went to the organic market in the forest. it was beautiful and hot and lovely. farmstyle breakfastroll and sorbet eating followed.
love –noun
1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
[and then in the evening we had a braai& walked along the beach to watch the moon rise, which turned out to be more amazing and breathtaking than i could ever describe- although lets be real, Irenelady this photo is very close to what we saw in real life. you brilliant photographer you]

[and i bought candyfloss]

[happy sunday. sleep in tomorrow*]

kiss with a fist

[writes this while sitting up in bed drinking tea]

one of the good things about being sick is suddenly having all this extra time added to your life. today i am abusing this gift by, not wallowing in self pity, but working. [lets get real, who works when they're sick?]mom is out to conversational french lessons and this feeling of being alone in the house makes me want to do something reckless. like eat all the nutella. or dance around in my underwear.
happy cupcake monday for yesterday.

[more tea is needed] imcraving- hello pandas, rasberries, sleep, more florence&the machine, anything with mint in it, a bath in lavender bubbles, sunshine, seeing you.

[how great is this picture?]

light a way

cooler mornings, late sunrises, re-uniting with my winter clothes. iloveautumn.

I was up super early this morning to stand in the cold in my sleeping shorts and cheer for 2hours, for the people riding the capeargus today. yes i am a dedicated friend.
[flapjacks for breakfast]

[playing in my head right now]
The morning's here and we're still caught up in the night.
The sky was clear
And everything felt right
Our time is short but
I'm sure I'll see you soon.
We'll take another walk along the bridge and underneath the moon
.
thisweek a man joined my gym. he looks something between a hamster and a leprechaun. I have decided to call him fluffy. [you should see fluffy on the bike. insane i tell you.]

this was last sundays lunch/tea/indulgence. it looks harmless but really, i ate a third of it and then started dribbling chocolate. so i stopped.

[onemonth roses. you are lovely thankyou]

What a find, if I could I'd hit rewind
And replay all the moments
That I wished I could've called you mine.

saturday my 9yearold sister had her birthday party [party food. yesplease] and my mom made such amazing cupcakes. but then, the children destroyed them by licking all the icing off and leaving the cake. what the heck?
[a destroyed cupcake]

it was painful to watch. the moral of the story is teach your children to respect cupcakes and eat them properly. goodness.
have a happy sunday x
