so its pretty much friday already. I cant even remember monday. [is that a problem?]

My dad got home from Ethiopia yesterday & he brought back the most amazing dresses for us. princess dresses. He also brought back 5bags of insanely strong coffee, which has resulted in our kitchen smelling like the compost section at a nursery.

I spent the afternoon with the man on the beach. or, watching the beach. Which may or may not lead to me having to stay up all night to finish this assignment. If you're ever in Ethiopia you need to try wushwush tea. Its pretty darn exciting.

a pretty average weekend, as weekends go, and im not entirely sure why that is. highlight? peppermint tea drinking yesterday with the man. lowlight,a tie between the movie we saw afterwards and how im feeling at the moment.

for the past hour i have been obsessively stalking the wedding link that the man gave me and i have decided that i will be wearing these shoes to my wedding. the end.

[dear followers who have stuck around even though ive faded so often these past few days]

the weather is in its transition stage where its not entirely sure if it should be summer or autumn- the best season of the year- which provides a problem for dressing. but, that said, the past week has had some pretty amazing evenings. and nights. [i shouldknow, the earliest bedtime ive had this week was 1am]

in addition to late nights and early mornings my life has been filled with picnics, sunsets, letters, long conversations and longer goodbyes, tea, avenues at night, surprises, happy noises, new smells, pretty smells,

stars, chocolate eggs, hot chocolate, a failed probation day, things that have worked out in the end, awkward silences, happy sliences, pizza, sand in everything, admiration, dusk [and a general euphoric feeling]

i also pretty much owned valentines day when i made 2batches of red velvet cupcakes. without sounding too arrogant. theyre pretty much the best cupcakes ive ever tasted.

this week has been full of tea, and crazy hot days[which bring out the sweat in people and just make it awkward],and princess movies, over-eating, under-eating, too little sleep, picnics in the forest, amazing cupcakes, happiness, beautiful nailpolish, the best chocolate cake i have ever tasted, secrets, a princess dress, hot rain, braais, love, a play at maynardville, dreaming, awkward conversations that turned out not to be that awkward at all, pizza, madagascar, hebrew, procrastination,
lemonade, guilt, laughter, perfume, butterflies, best friends, baking, mishaps, singing, the beach, new people, wonderful people, orca whales and owls.

happy tuesday. ordinarily i love tuesdays and today was good. yes, it was. However this insane capetown wind (which blows even though its sunny outside) becomes a bit much after four days.

[my dad is home from north africa]so im sorry ive failed at blogging these past few days. its been a little hectic here. too hectic for my liking. i just want to crawl into bed and sleep for a few days - or until the bags under my eyes have disappeared.
