post-christmas nostalgia

in the midst of the christmas craziness here are some of the things i liked this week:
[putting off posting about christmas because when i post about it, its really over]

"Whatever happened to chivalry? Does it only exist in 80’s movies? I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I wanna ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80’s movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason." -Easy A.

200th post

on saturday my parents bought 2 bottles of lemonade concentrate, and so lemonade is more plentiful than water in my house . [its 2 days until my sister gets home] at the moment ilove:wearing my sisters beautiful watch, pesto with pasta,the girl with the dragon tattoo, wearing my shirt tucked into my jeans and my kiwi flavoured shampoo.

Romeo (to a Servingman): What lady is that which doth enrich the hand

Romeo: Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night

Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope’s ear,
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows
As yonder lady o'er her fellows shows.

The measure done, I’ll watch her place of stand,
And, touching hers, make blessèd my rude hand.
Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight!
For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night.

happy windsday, i have 5 more days of high school left ever ever. gosh. and yeah i have exams but still. [so these are a few of my more recent favorite pictures from we heart it yay yay]

the science of light

sometimes, on the cloudless blue days
when the sun has baked the
newly spring air,
and the naked branches hang
delicately adorned with
green life,
sometimes, you can hear
the golden sunlight and a perfect
stillness
and the air, that smells of mint
and jasmine
leaves you feeling intoxicated.
On those days, your mind
(supposed to be learning quanta)
would much rather dance in the
sunbeams,
than soak up the knowledge printed on a
lifeless page.
