from one city to another

i dont want to sleep* even though i really need to be awake for tomorrow...
i honestly think that i have the best view in cape town so im spending all my time watching the city lights and listening to phoenix (thanks tom*)

that day she dreamed
of summer
and ice cream dipped in caramel,
the thick scent of poppies
and apples and hazy, dusty days
where the sleepy sunlight that trickled
through the trees, dripped with honey-coated
laughter,
all the while her mother suntanned in the
backyard until the rain came,
and then it poured in smoky, sultry showers
eating away at the dried out earth.


afternoon all,
what can i say on such a day as this, when the people next door have been cutting tiles solidly for the last 5 hours? and all i really want to do is read outside but when i try i get a fair amount of dust in my face.

yes, it is monday indeed ( i know because i was faithfully reminded by Hope) however i have just woken up after being on camp for the last 5 days and having the most awesomest time ever and making the biggest idiot of my self ever, but thats okay because i have a stash of easter eggs in my room waiting for me to wallow in self pity and then eat them all in one go... i feel like that was wayyy to deep for this time of night and my current mental state :)
so... i had to post this picture because it looked SUPER awesome. yum
